Awarded the prizes for the 2019 edition of the Rome Prize competition for the best traditional breads and baked goods and the Rome Prize competition for the best cheeses. The selections were promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce and carried out by Agro Camera in collaboration with the Lazio Regional Agency for Agricultural Development and Innovation (Arsial) and in synergy with Unioncamere Lazio and the region’s Chamber of Commerce system.

More than 170 companies participated in the two competitions. Fifty-one companies from 11 Italian regions participated in the competition for the best traditional breads and baked goods, now in its 14th year, showcasing more than 180 products. The samples were submitted for judging by six professional tasters.

The Biscò company won second place for the“Traditional and Historical Durum Wheat Breads” type with its Altamura DOP bread.
